Meet the Reuben Team.

 

Ray Stephens - Founder and Digital Strategist

Ray began his career in the City’s financial services market, where he worked for major companies like Prudential, AVIVA and IBM. After sixteen highly successful years in corporate IT, Ray began to specialize in the internet world when helping banks to move their business online. He worked as lead technical consultant on several major projects of this type, including the launch of natwest.com.

Passionate about internet technologies and new market innovations, Ray established his first internet services business in 1999 with the express aim of offering high-end expertise to charities and SMEs.  His primary role at Reuben is to share his vision and knowledge of the internet and technology with clients, helping them to create sustainable websites and digital communication strategies.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Ray with his family or indulging in one of his many and varied passions: playing jazz on his beloved alto and baritone saxophones, riding motocross bikes with his son, shooting ‘from the hip’ with his Lomo LCA camera, or getting punched at his local boxing gym. But don’t be put off by the boxing and the photo; Ray is a real softie and Reuben clients love him to bits! 

 

Mark Vincent - Senior Developer and Technical Team Leader

Mark is a seasoned web developer with the ability to swiftly grasp the most complex business processes. He grew up in Zimbabwe where he gained his initial experience in the IT industry working for his father's business. His role quickly evolved to web and graphic design.

In 2002 Mark and his wife left Zimbabwe to travel the world for several years before moving to the UK and settling in Oxfordshire.

He started working for Reuben Internet in 2004 and has continually developed his skills as a web developer and systems analyst, becoming a genuine expert in Microsoft web technologies and e-commerce, the key components in Reuben’s success at delivering solutions for our clients. 

 

Bruno Schoeps - Web Developer and Customer Support

Originally from Brazil, Bruno's first experience with computers was playing Prince of Persia on an IBM PC 286. He got hooked on the web business when building pages on MS Office Frontpage. In 2003 he moved to a design agency in São Paulo, as he puts it, ‘to learn to make pretty things’. After National Service in Brazil, Bruno relocated to England. Fair play Bruno, the rest of us would have relocated before national service!

Bruno has been with Reuben Internet since 2009 and has rapidly progressed to become a superb frontend ASP.NET developer, as well as learning the complexities of ecommerce development.

He is also the voice of Reuben Internet, handling all incoming calls and providing second to none service on our helpdesk, supporting customers with FAQs on CMS and ecommerce through to the configuration of email on iPads. 
 

Aran Thandi - Web Developer and Customer Support

Aran, a Microsoft Developer, has over 5 years’ experience developing and supporting web applications.

Aran joined Reuben Internet in May 2014 to work alongside Bruno and Louis as a second level client support technician and website developer. Combining his easy manner and quick thinking, Aran has already proven to be a very valued asset to both our clients and team.

When not in the office, Aran can typically be found sipping a nice cold beer outside a bar in a city somewhere in Europe. We think Aran wants to drop as many pins as possible into his TripAdvisor travel map and become Lonely Planet's #1 customer.

 

Louis Stephens - Trainee Web Developer and Customer Support

Following a miss-spent youth as a dedicated gamer and X-BOX junkie, Louis decided to trade his gamer points for a career in web development. After finishing his IT studies, Louis has become the latest addition to the Reuben Internet development team.

Working under the excellent guidance of Bruno, Louis is responsible for handling incoming calls to the office, and learning "the ropes" as web professional manning our helpdesk, assisting customers with day to day updates and management of their websites.

Louis has keen eye for User Interface design, (must have been due to all those hours navigating round the maps of Gears of War), and as such will play a key role in website and user journey testing.

 

 Gill Temple - Business Support Exec and Account Manager

Gill grew up in Kent and graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London in 1994 with a degree in Geography. She initially worked for several years in the information services department of the National Tourist board.

Following a move to Oxfordshire, Gill joined the national charity, Crime Concern, to became their Information Manager responsible for website development and information management systems. Gill first came into contact with Reuben Internet when she worked with us on Crime Concern’s website and intranet projects.

After a career break to have two children, Gill returned to work for another charity, Catch22. From there she moved to Reuben Internet and her current role as Business Support Executive and Account Manager.

 

Suzy Connell - Business Development Exec

Prior to joining the team at Reuben, Suzy worked as a ‘City whizzkid’ for several US brokerage houses in London’s Square Mile. After many years selling stocks and shares to major institutions, Suzy took a career break to raise twin boys in the Wiltshire countryside.

The ever-smiling Suzy is responsible for developing new business for Reuben Internet, sharing our brand and helping to build relationships with potential new clients. It’s fair to say that after the twins and city brokers, nothing phases her!

In her spare time, she enjoys taking photographs, keeping fit and especially social networking.  Suzy also plans to learn coding as a new language!
